SERIOUS VIOLENCE PREVENTION PROJECT (SVPP) COMMUNITY FUND

Some of you may be aware that CWVYS have recently appointed a Development Manager who has been working with regional Police and Crime Commissioners and the newly appointed Serious Violence Coordinators, to support the development of a Serious Violence Prevention Project (SVPP) Community Fund.

The Community Fund is part of an All-Wales preventative strategy, supporting positive, diversionary activities with young people from becoming involved in crime and serious violence.

The project outcomes will help to inform the Serious Violence Strategy for Wales, identifying effective approaches and activities with young people.

We’re now in a position to be able to launch the fund with CWVYS members!

Here are the SVPP Application Form English and SVPP Guidelines English.

The closing date for applications will be the 17th May 2019 with successful projects commencing from 17th June 2019.

CWVYS will support the first stage of the application process, and provide recommendations across regions for Local Project Implementation Boards, making final decisions.

Our Development Manager Kath will be available to respond to any queries you may have about the fund within the context of the guidelines, but obviously won’t be able to share any information that might provide an advantage to those applying. you can reach her via: kathryn@cwvys.org.uk
