Adoption UK are looking for an Administrative Officer;

Adoption UK is the leading charity providing support, community, and advocacy for all those
parenting or supporting children who cannot live with their birth parents.
We connect adoptive families, provide information and signposting on a range of adoption related
issues and campaign for improvements to adoption policy and legislation at the highest
levels.
An exciting new role has arisen to provide admin assistance to the Wales team, to help them give
excellent support to adoptive families.
The role will include providing efficient administrative support, whilst also supporting the team
with organising publicity and campaigning events, scheduling meetings, ensuring records are
maintained, and working with the team to deliver a range of projects.
The right person for this role will have experience in administration support, be able to use a wide
variety of Microsoft applications, demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative, have
excellent organisational skills, and will establish good rapport with colleagues and stakeholders of
the team at all levels of seniority
This is a part time, permanent role between 28 – 30 hours per week, working from our Cardiff
office with some home working flexibility. The post is funded by The National Lottery Community
Fund.
The role attracts a salary range of £21, 758 – £23,529 (pro-rated) dependant on experience.

Media Academy Cymru and YMCA Swansea have some exciting opportunities for young people;

MAC & YMCA Swansea are delighted to be working with the Youth Endowment Fund on ‘Legacy’ – a peer research innovation project
This exciting research project will engage, inspire and motivate young people into discussions about society and the communities in which they live to make the world a better place. We are recruiting 12 peer researchers and a project co-ordinator from across Wales.
MAC encourages applications from young people looking for their first step on their career ladder and with experiences of the criminal justice system, being looked after or from any community overrepresented in the criminal justice system. 

 

Legacy Project Peer Researchers

• We are actively recruiting young people aged 16-20

MAC are also looking to employ a Divert Manager (Maternity Cover);

Role Outline:

The Divert Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational management and quality assurance of MAC’s and Cardiff Youth Justice Service’s ‘Divert’ programme.

The ideal candidate will have a degree level education, management experience and a recent working knowledge of the youth justice system.

  • Salary: £40,000 per annum
  • Hours/Days: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (some evening/weekend working)
  • Location: Cardiff
  • Start Date: Immediate start date available
  • Term: Temporary – maternity cover until 31 December 2021 (in the first instance)

Satisfactory references and enhanced DBS required before appointment.
