We represent the voluntary youth work sector alongside providing an extensive range of up-to-date information, access to training, skills and other organisations, funding opportunities, events and collaborations which build best practice, along with opportunities for sharing and influencing youth work policy in Wales.
We also:
- share up-to-date information on a wide variety of topics on a daily basis
- publish three separate newsletters per month: General; Funding; and International, respectively
- advertise Members and their details on our website
- populate our website with important policy updates and information of interest to all
- provide access to heavily-discounted training e.g., a Youth Work Level 2 Youth Work Award or Level 3 Youth Support Worker course. This arrangement also creates access to wide range of youth work and Continuous Professional Development opportunities for staff and volunteers of Member organisations
- give you access to a wide network of voluntary youth work organisations plus the extensive partnership links we have with a large number of strategic bodies
- send you details of events and collaboratives opportunities
- shape and influence youth work policy in Wales: we are here to represent the voice of the sector and include Members through a range of fora including our monthly Regional Group/Workforce Development online meetings for Members only; and the Youth Work Sector Safeguarding Group
- offer the opportunity to nominate, or be nominated, to join the CWVYS Executive Committee (Trustee Board)
