Established in 2010, Media Academy Cymru (MAC) is a not-for-profit organisation operating across Wales, primarily in education, criminal justice diversion and free creative activities for children and young people.

MAC delivers a range of innovative projects to meet the changing needs of thousands of children, young people and their families each year. Everything is supported within a framework of a rights led and strengths based approach to encourage participation in our holistic services on a voluntary basis. MAC’s vision is that all children and young people in Wales are safe and given opportunities to live meaningful lives.

MAC’s diverse project delivery includes violence early intervention and prevention, education, family mediation and the multi-award-winning criminal justice diversion (delivered since 2010). Since 2010, MAC has successfully diverted over 6,000 children and young people, encouraging resistance from crime through a trauma informed, strengths-based needs assessment.

MAC HQ (including its education delivery) is based at 12 Coopers Yard, Curran Road, Cardiff, CF10 5NB, but services operate across Wales.
