Below you can find the programmes Kidscape are able to offer members of CWVYS.

Peer Mentoring

Funded by Mutual Gain Trust, we are able to offer fully-funded Peer Mentor training to any organisation in the Newport area. Kidscape Peer Mentoring programmes are based on young people supporting each other; matching peer mentors with mentees in one-on-one friendships so that they can provide guidance and support, serving as positive role models. Our programme enables Peer Mentors to listen and support fellow pupils (mentees); helping them deal with the current challenges they may be struggling with.

Community Leader training – CPD accredited

Kidscape Community Leader programme is available for young adults and adults who support or work with children and young people and have an opportunity to change young lives for the better.

Rights, Respect, Equality webinars

The Welsh Government is funding Kidscape to provide online training to help embed the governors and staff to make sure that all learners feel safe, secure and are supported to achieve their full potential. The Rights, Respect, Equality School Support Webinar is available free of charge for governors and school staff in Wales who are leading on developing and updating the anti-bullying policy and strategy. CWVYS members may also work in schools, or act as Governors and it would be useful to learn how the RRE webinars supports schools in embedding the statutory anti-bullying policy into practice in schools.
