Benzone Development Foundation CIC is an early-intervention and preventative community wellbeing organisation based in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
We create accessible, engaging opportunities that help children, young people and families build confidence, strengthen wellbeing, develop resilience and meaningful connections, and realise their potential.
Our approach is centred on providing support and positive opportunities early — before manageable challenges have the opportunity to develop into more serious difficulties.
Our current programmes include:
Catch Them Young – our youth wellbeing and empowerment programme for children and young people aged 8–16, supporting confidence, emotional awareness, resilience, communication, belonging, aspirations and life skills.
Move. Think. Connect.™ – our signature wellbeing programme combining accessible movement, brain games and meaningful social connection to promote physical, mental and social wellbeing. The programme can be adapted for children, young people, families and community groups.
Voices on Paper – a creative expression and youth voice programme using art, storytelling and zine-making to help young people explore identity, confidence, aspirations and self-expression.
Our work is currently focused primarily within Rhondda Cynon Taf, working collaboratively with schools, community organisations, youth and family services, local groups and other partners.
Our recent work has received funding from the National Lottery Community Fund for Catch Them Young and the Arts Council of Wales for Voices on Paper.
Our vision is:
“A future where no child, young person or family has to reach crisis before they are given the support and opportunity to thrive.”
Our public message is:
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
Support shouldn’t begin at crisis.
