STAND North Wales CIC was formed by Yvonne Brookes and Sarah McCulloch as a not for profit Community Interest Company in response to the closure of organisations representing families of children and young people with speech language and communication needs, additional needs and disabilities and adults with additional learning needs in North Wales.

The definition of stand is:
“Stronger Together for Additional Needs and Disabilities”

What We Do
Support and upskill families with children, young people and adults with speech language communication needs, additional needs and disabilities by:

Offering a listening ear and support for families

Parent / Carer support groups face to face in the community

Training for parents and professionals

Workshops for parents and for children, young people and adults with additional needs and disabilities

Family and activity days

Online youth groups and Youth Council

STAND for Change parent forums

Adult Social Groups

Early Years programmes

Education support, Counselling, advice on mental health needs, therapy of any kind, respite, educational advice
