The Welsh Government Youth Engagement Branch has secured an additional £2.5 million pounds of Youth Support Grant funding to be targeted to Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing of Young People.

As you may be aware from previous CWVYS messages to you, these funds are being allocated directly to local authorities, whose individual workplans need to be submitted to the Welsh Government by 21st September.

Positively, the criteria states that the workplans must be signed by both the local authority and voluntary sector organisations that have been engaged in their design.

We would therefore again encourage you to make contact with local authority Principal Youth Officers (contact list can be found here; PYOG Contacts List Sept 2021).
