The Letting Fees ban – It’s here
There is no doubt that getting set up in a private tenancy can be eye-wateringly expensive. New tenants need to find thousands of pounds upfront for tenancy deposits and rent in advance – but until now there has been little control over the fees that landlords and agents charge before and during a tenancy.
The long awaited Renting Homes (Fees etc.) (Wales) Act 2019 comes into force in Wales on 1st September 2019. This will dramatically impact the payments that Letting Agents are able to take in relation to tenancies.
This 2 hour briefing will include:
• The background to the Act
• Who is affected by the changes
• Which fees are banned and which are permitted
• Impact on a landlord of charging a banned fee
• What can a tenant do if they are charged a banned fee
To find out how this will affect the people you work with, get ahead of the game and book your place now – spaces are limited.
2 hour briefing – £60.00
10:00am-12:00pm – Cardiff, Swansea
