Abergele Community Action was first established in 2001 and since 2005 we were operating out of an Internet Café and IT resource known as Itaca… on the ground floor of Hesketh House in the town centre of Abergele, and relocated in 2019 to the Youth Shed.

Abergele Community Action aims to extend activities and opportunities for local people through a range of activities including operating a Foodbank and a Money Advice service providing opportunities for work experience and volunteering.

Abergele Youth Shed

This is our Youth Project providing community-based intervention aimed at young people aged between 10 and 25 that are, or at risk of becoming, excluded from mainstream social, economic, educational, and digital opportunities. We do this by providing a range of activities and opportunities within a safe and friendly environment.

Abergele Youth Shed, affiliated to Youth Shedz Cymru, was established in 2019 and the project is located in its own building on the local college campus site.  The young people have been involved in every stage of the development of the project including design, refurbishing, decorating, marketing, and social media.

Abergele Youth Shed currently receive a range of funding from various sources so that we can employ youth workers to deliver a range of activities from outdoors, forest school, multi media projects, cooking, healthy minds and bodies to name but a few.
