The Welsh Government published its draft budget for 2026-27 on 14 October 2025.
The Senedd’s Finance Committee will now scrutinise the proposals through a series of evidence sessions. Other Senedd Committees may also consider the draft budget before it is finalised.
The Finance Committee’s first evidence sessions on the draft budget are detailed below:
Ministerial evidence session
The Ministerial evidence session will be held on Thursday 16 October at 09:30 with Mark Drakeford MS, Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Welsh Language.
