The Fieldwork Facilitators’ Supervisor Training at Cardiff Metropolitan University is aimed at those who have not supervised a Youth and Community work student before, fairly new to the role and just want a refresher or have supervised students some time ago.

The training will focus on general ideas on how to develop effective supervisor/supervisee relationships and techniques, such as solution focussed intervention, with students who are experiencing practice challenges.   Whether you are supervising a student who is based within your organisation or have agreed to be an off-site supervisor, this training will provide you with an opportunity to share your experiences of student supervision and identify key ways to further develop students’ learning through quality supervision.

There will be opportunities to network with colleagues from other organisations and for informal discussions with the programme team.  Refreshments and lunch will also be provided.

Please confirm your attendance and any specific dietary requirements as soon as possible by email to csepartnerships@cardiffmet.ac.uk  by Friday 28 February 2020 at the very latest.

There will be a number of pre-paid visitor parking spaces in front of the main building and labelled Fieldwork Facilitators Training Workshop.  In the event of these spaces being occupied, you will need to park in an unreserved parking space on campus.  Unfortunately, these will not be prepaid and Cardiff Met operates a pay and display parking system (£2).  Please report to the Main Reception on arrival.

They look forward to seeing you on the day, however, if you have any further queries please contact jrooney@cardiffmet.ac.uk
