This course is for families who are adopting for a second time or who have birth children and are now adding to their family through adoption.

The day provides an opportunity to consider the impact on adopters, their birth children and other adopted children in the family when a second child is placed for adoption.

Participants will reflect on the potential dilemmas posed by the differing needs of the birth child/previously adopted child and the newly placed adopted child and discuss a range of ideas for preparing for and understanding the changes.
