The Wales Federation of YFC is a rural bilingual youth organisation, operating throughout the Country for young people aged between 10 and 26 years of age.
Seeking to meet the needs of rural young people the YFC provides a variety of educational, training and social programmes that encourage personal development, social interaction, community involvement and concern for the environment.
Working as a charitable company Wales YFC is an umbrella body that works with 12 County Federations, 155 YFC Clubs and just under 6,000 young people.
The organisation is a truly democratic in that it is ran by the members for the benefit of the members.
2013 saw the launch of a new strategic plan for the organisation with the core purpose identified as being ‘Creating opportunities for our members to shine’ The organisations vision for the plan was agreed as being ‘By 2020 Wales YFC will be a dynamic organisation that everyone wants to be part of.
