Welsh Women’s Aid (WWA) was founded in 1978 to support local violence against women services and provide the voice of services and survivors to government as well as campaigning, influencing policy and practice and innovating to end domestic abuse and violence against women across Wales and the rest of the UK.
Welsh Women’s Aid is the national umbrella organisation representing specialist services across Wales. Our members provide direct services for women and children who have experienced or are experiencing violence against women and domestic abuse.
Details of trainings offered:
-Training to run the S.T.A.R programmes for young people (11-3 and 14-25). This is an 8 session educational programme designed for groups of young people looking at topics such as healthy relationships, social media, pornography, gender stereotypes. (2 days)
-Coercive control and the effects on children (1 day)
-Domestic abuse awareness (1 day)
