A Mindfulness Briefing and Consultation Event for Youth Workers is being held on the Carmarthen Campus of UWTSD on Wednesday the 4th December between 10am and 12noon.

The event will be led by Elizabeth Williams and Heather Fish – both of whom are Mindfulness experts in Wales. You may be aware that a similar event has already taken place with Youth Workers in South East Wales.

This is an opportunity for exploring how Mindfulness can be used as a tool in youth work practice.

As a teaching team, they are currently in the process of preparing for the re-validation and re-endorsement of both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Youth Work programmes, and intend to work with Elizabeth and Heather in developing exciting content within existing modules to prepare students to be equipped with Mindfulness techniques to support young people.

Therefore this event will be a starting point to their development of Mindfulness training for youth work students.

Including Mindfulness within youth work training is a new initiative, and as key players in the youth work field in the region they would value your input in this exciting event.

UWTSD would be very grateful if you could contact Angharad via email angharad.lewis@uwtsd.ac.uk by the 25th November please to confirm whether you are able to attend.

She will confirm our exact location on campus closer to the date.

A festive welcome will await you all on campus!
