This event will explore how agencies can collaborate to ensure optimal outcomes for children and their families. \nOur lineup includes five expert speakers who will share their insights on key areas: \n\nCharlotte Bowden from Child Friendly Cardiff will discuss the importance of upholding children’s rights and ensuring their voices are heard in all decisions.\nIan Laite\, a consultant social worker from Cardiff Children’s Services\, will focus on understanding the impact of domestic abuse on children and the importance of survivor-centred approaches.\nBethan Altman from CAFCASS Cymru will talk about new strategies and pathways developed to better listen to and support children\, in response to the Harm Panel’s report.\nRepresentatives from Thrive Women’s Aid and RASASC will also present\, offering perspectives on supporting children who have experienced domestic abuse and sexual violence.\n\nThis event is essential for anyone dedicated to supporting children and young people. DESCRIPTION:The Welsh Government consultation paper on ‘Strengthening the legislative basis for youth work in Wales’ is expected to go live early next week (w/c 7th October).\nThose details will be shared with CWVYS Members as soon as we receive them. \nIn addition\, there will be an important opportunity for voluntary youth work organisations to obtain clarity on any aspect of the draft legislative proposals designed to strengthen the legislative basis for youth work. \nYou are invited to attend an online engagement session\, delivered by the Youth Engagement Branch.\nIt is intended to act as a springboard to encourage the voluntary youth work sector to respond to the consultation\, either individually or collectively\, so that a wide range of views and perspectives are heard. \n\nSo\, please keep your diaries free (if possible)\, for that meeting on 22 October\, from 3pm to 4.30pm.\nAnd register your interest in attending the session via paul@cwvys.org.uk\nYou will then receive the joining details by return
