SUMMARY:Sexual Health Traffic Light Tool Kit - ETS Cymru training
DESCRIPTION:The Sexual Behaviours Traffic Light Tool supports professionals working with children and young people by helping them to identify\, understand and respond appropriately to sexual behaviours. It categorises the sexual behaviours using a traffic light system. \nIt focuses on behaviours that are developmentally appropriate for a particular age group – not just what is stated in law. This helps professionals to understand healthy sexual development and distinguish it from harmful behaviour. \nAims of the\ncourse: \nTo develop the\nknowledge and skills to confidently and effectively apply the Traffic Light\nTool when sexualised behaviours in children and young people are observed. We want you to explore your own values and understand how\nthey impact on decision making and for you to develop a common language around\ndevelopmental and unhealthy sexual behaviours. \nBy\nthe end of the training\, participants will be able to: \n\nIdentify the behaviour and establish if it is:\n\n\nTypical or developmentally appropriate\nProblematic or harmful\n\n\nUnderstand:\n\n\nWhat the behaviour is communicating\nWhy the child or young person may be exhibiting it\n\n\nRespond appropriately.
