Theatr Fforwm Cymru is a registered charity that started in 1993. The main focus is on working with young people and training youth workers in the development of emotional intelligence.
The company has gained a great deal of experience in working with vulnerable young people and those experiencing disaffection . The work comprises of a tool-kit of methodologies and techniques including Theatre of the Oppressed
(particularly forum theatre), transactional analysis, circle work, open space technology, positive psychology, neuro science and mindfulness.
The company have worked extensively both in Wales and throughout Eastern and Western Europe where they have also delivered training to many Youth Workers.
Young people who have been involved directly with the company over the 18 years, describe the work as giving them a language for understanding that lasts.
